Happy Holidays

Dear students,

I hope you've been lucky in your final exams. I bet so.
I guess you must be enjoying your first days of holidays at the pool or the beach.
Some of you may be ready to start your summer jobs to earn some money, too.
I even know that some of you are going to the UK for the holidays in order to improve your English.Well done to all of you! I hope you enjoy anything you do and make the most of it.

However, I can't avoid being a teacher and I keep on recommending you to do some pleasant English practice. That's to say, listening to music following the lyrics, watching any DVD in English with subtitles, meeting English-speaking people in the beach or in your trips, buying magazines in English and a neverending list of activities you can do.

I would like to keep in touch with you throughout the summer. So, if you have the time, tell me about your holidays and I promise to tell you about mine.
With lots of love and affection,
Raquel.

Hi Krys!!!
I'm over the moon (it's an English idiom ;-) ) to see that someone remembers the blog!!!
You're right. People haven't written for a long time but it's logical because you're too busy during your summer holidays to think about teachers and English, don't you? :D
I think it's a good idea to keep on reading and keeping your English up to date. You can also look for interesting teenager's sites on the internet. Or buy some teens magazine when you go to Salou. You can easily find them there.
Yes, we're picking Lala up from Valencia airport next Saturday. Unfortunately, Luara (who is 13) is too old to come on holidays this year. So she must remain in the refugee's camps. However, we keep in touch through the phone from time to time.
I promise to pay you all a visit this summer so you can meet Lala. She's willing to meet my students too.
I wish fantastic holidays for you too. You deserve them.
Give my regards to the rest of your classmates.
I hope to hear from you very soon.
Take care,
R.
